Thank You Poems

A Mother’s love is something
that no on can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away . . .
It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking . . .
It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems . . .
It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation . . .
A many splendoured miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God’s tender guiding hand

I'm really glad that you could come
And help surprise my mother
sit down, relax, enjoy yourselves
and chat with one another
Sorry I can't be with you
to join in Mommy's shower
But I'm very busy you see
I'm growing more each hour
Though I'm not there to thank you
for the lovely gifts you've brought
my family is grateful
we appreciate the thought
I'll be arriving shortly
and I'm as happy as can be
so, after I've been home awhile
please come and visit me

You may not have stood beside me
or touched my hand each day
but I knew that you were with me
each step along the way.

Your prayers and thoughts and glances
meant more than you will know
'cause I keep them down deep in my heart
and feel the love aglow.

It's there for me to rekindle
to light the path I take
It guides me,holds me, rocks me,
each morning I awake.

I knew that you'd be with me
each step along the way
'cause GOD gave you to me,with love
to keep my fears at bay.

I'm sorry I can't be with you,
But I'm very busy you see,
Doing my last bit of growing,
So mommy will be proud of me.

I'm sending this little message,
To convey to you this thought,
The Stork will soon have left me,
To use the gifts you brought.

Be sure to come and see me,
As soon as I get here,
Just give mother time,
To dress me ever so dear.

And so I Thank You from my heart,
For each lovely gift for me,
For when the Stork leaves me with mommy,
I'll not be dressed you see.

Because you bring such joy to me,
And a love that is so deep.
A smile that brings me happiness,
And a love I want to keep.
I thank God for You!
Because when I'm down and almost out,
Your love guides me through.
And if I get too depressed,
It seems you know just what to do.
I thank God for You!
Because my problems sometimes overhelm me,
Your gentle touch and warm embrace
Give me the strength to carry on,
When I see the sunshine in your face.
I thank God for You!
Because you mean all the world to me,
And we share a special bond.
To love each other every day
And never let each other down.
I thank God for you!

now the eyes of my eyes are opened)

I consider myself very lucky
To have a sister;
A sister, who loves me for what I am,
Not for what others see me as,
Or for what I ought to be.
She loves me truly the way I am.
We've fought and patched up.
We've shared secrets of happiness and sadness
We've laughed until we cried,
And then we dried each other's tears.
I look up to her (because she's taller than me)
We don't laugh at each other's mistakes,
But help each other to correct them.
She prevents me from losing my temper,
I prevent her from losing her sense of judgement.
I know none of us are perfect,
But together, we help each other to become so.
Thanks, sister
For always being there for me

Thank you for loving me
For being my eyes
When I couldn’t see
For parting my lips
When I couldn’t breathe
Thank you for loving me

I never knew I had a dream
Until that dream was you
When I look into your eyes
The sky’s a different blue
Cross my heart
I wear no disguise
If I tried, you’d make me believe
That you believed my lies

Thank you for the gift of life,
For letting me be me,
For all that I can know by words
And all that I can see,

For all the music I can hear
And all the songs I sing,
For all the joy that comes to me
And all the joy I bring,

For all the food that I can taste
And all the sweet scents smell,
For all the loved ones I can touch,
Who love and wish me well,

For all the beauty of the world,
Ever fresh and new,
I don’t know who else I can thank,
And so I’m thanking you.

Thank you Lord for the sunshine,
Thank you Lord for the rain;
Thank you too for the rainbows,
And for easing my pain.
Thank you Lord for the mountains,
And the whispering trees;
Thank you too for the oceans,
And the soft balmy breeze.
You were there when I needed you,
You were there when I cried.
You solaced me in sorrows,
You were there by my side.
Thank you Lord for the heavens,
And the stars up above.
Thank you too for my dear friends,
Who have shown me their love.

We’ll race against time
Do all that you said will make us shine
We’ll win all the hearts
We’ll get trillions of remarks
Then we’ll rise and walk back
Back towards you and say THANK YOU SIR!

We’ll create peace
Spread unity and love
Make the nation shine like stars in darkness of night
We’ll do that you said we might
When we win the hearts
And prove that we are smart
We’ll turn back first and say THANK YOU SIR!

We’ll spread around knowledge
And enlighten the world
We’ll make sure nobody is sold
Sold for money
Sold for luxury
We’ll ensure what we are saying is indeed done
Then we’ll rise and you’ll be right there with us
And we’ll say THANK YOU SIR!

Thank you sir for helping us out
Thank you sir for giving us those encouraging words
Thank you sir for telling us that things once decided can be done
Thank you, sir for just being there

THANK YOU SIR!

Thank you
For everything you have ever done
To make my life better
I might deny it sometimes
But a great part of who I am
Is thanks to the two of you
Sometimes I thought to myself
That you where being too strict
Sometimes unfair
But now I see
That it was all for the better
And I am thankful for it all
You taught me respect
On a level most kids my age
Never even heard of
You taught me the value of life
In a easy way to understand
I know that I
Can sometimes be a little hard headed
Or even a real teaser
But still I have managed
To follow your teachings
And become
As good a person as I can be

Thank you
For everything

You made me happy when I was sad,
You made me laugh when I was mad,
You made me believe and not give up; you were always there when there wasn’t
Anyone,
You always cared when no one else did,
You told me God made this way and that you were glad he put me here,
You told me life is worth living not worth killing yourself over,
You were like my big brother,
I like no other,
I wish that we were back in 8th grade,
Those were the good times,
You showed me the good part of life,
I wish we would talk more,
But we hardly see each other anymore,
You’re all I hoped for from God,
I'm thankful to have some one like you.

Thanks for always being there
when I need a friend to understand.

For the smile you bring to my lips,
and the laughter to the world
we're in.

Thanks for the tissues to dry my
tears on the days I thought would
never end.

Thanks for your understanding
words, and listening ears, in a mad
world of honking honks and unkind
words.

For being the person who understands
my child within.

The day I met my best friend
It's like he knew me right away
It was funny how he understood
everything I had to say.
He listened to my problems
He listened to my dreams
He's been my friend forever
Maybe that’s just what It seems
He knew everything about me
I've given him the key
The key to my heart
Where every best friend should be
We talk all day
We could talk all night
Even when we are near
Or totally out of sight
To be the best friend that he could be amazes me
Because I don't think he will ever see
The best friend that he turned out to be
I just wanted to say take care
and thanks for always being there!

I know I wasn't the best behaved
That you've ever taught.
I know I got distracted
Much more than I ought

And I didn't pay attention
Every minute of the day,
And admittedly, my favourite time
Was going out to play

.

Yet determinedly you taught me,
Putting me to the test,
Encouraging my efforts
As you made me do my best.

Some lessons were a challenge
And you taught me how to cope,
Each day I grew in confidence,
Ability and hope.

I really now appreciate
You made me learn thro' fun.
Thank you very very much (Miss Giles)
For all you've said and done.

Pupils never forget a teacher
Whether good or bad, that's true
But it's with the fondest of affection
That I'll remember you
