In times of need, you held my hand
And led me through the circumstances.
You were always there when I needed someone
Desperately; I have various instances.

When I was scared or anxious in a way,
You were the first to provide shelter
I have no idea how I would have faced it,
Probably run helter-skelter ?

When I was angry, loathe, fuming,
You were the one to cool me down
When I was sad, feeling lonely,
You came to give me company from across town.

Whenever I called, you always replied,
Setting aside all your work.
You cleared my vision, made me see
Any dangers that in my path may lurk.

All this time, I have never said this –
I am grateful to have someone like you;
Who will always be there to support me freely?
In anything correct that I do.

To point out all my mistakes and faults,
And make me a better person in life
I appreciate it deeply – I thank you for it all.
